George Williamson is a freelance British choreographer who specialises in both ballet and contemporary dance, working not only in the UK but also internationally.

He gained significant recognition as a Choreographic winner at the English National Ballet School in 2007, 2008, and 2009. After completing his education in 2010, he joined the Polish National Ballet. His debut professional choreographic commission was an interpretation of The Firebird, which premiered at the London Coliseum for the English National Ballet in 2012. This notable achievement earned George a nomination for the prestigious Benois de la Danse. From 2012 to 2015, he served as an Associate Artist at the English National Ballet.

In 2014, George was a Finalist for the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Award, and in 2015, he created his first full-length narrative ballet, Egle Queen of the Grass Snakes, for the Lithuanian National Ballet. He also became known for his critically acclaimed My First Ballet series with the English National Ballet, which includes family-friendly adaptations of beloved classics like Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Coppélia, and Swan Lake. This series has successfully toured the UK, often attracting sell-out audiences.

In 2017, George celebrated a significant victory by winning the Milwaukee Ballet Genesis Competition. His work as a choreographer continued to flourish, and in 2019, he held the position of Resident Fellow at the esteemed Centre for Ballet and the Arts in New York City. Over the past decade, his work has toured widely, both nationally and internationally, being showcased by renowned companies such as the English National Ballet, Dutch National Ballet, Berlin Ballet, West Australian Ballet, Lithuanian National Ballet, Birmingham Royal Ballet, New English Ballet Theatre, American Ballet Theatre Studio Company, Milwaukee Ballet, and Polish National Ballet.

George is recognised as a versatile choreographer. In addition to creating captivating narrative and abstract modern ballets for the stage, he is also an established movement director for various mediums, including film and live performance in commercial, fashion, and visual arts sectors. His work has been showcased at notable venues such as Tate Modern, London Fashion Week, the National Portrait Gallery, the V&A, and Boiler Room.
